MSD's Pro-Billet magnetic pick-up Chevrolet small block and big block distributors are made using CNC mills that are accurate to within .001in. The high output pickup plugs directly into an MSD ignition box (required but not included). The shaft has the added strength of a sealed ball bearing located at the top of the housing. and an extra long sintered bushing controls the shaft at the bottom accurately at well over 10,000rpm. They have TIG-welded mechanical advance weights that are supported by nylon pads that allow the advance to operate smoothly throughout the rpm range. For all-out racing, the advance mechanism can also be easily locked out. Can be used with most aftermarket ignition boxes including MSD 6, 7, 8, or 10, Mallory HyFire, and Crane Hi-6.
